Free Car Parking in Council-operated car parks during December
To support local retailers in the run up to Christmas, the Council is providing free car parking on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in December for up to three hours in Grantham and Stamford.
Drivers will be able to benefit from two hours’ free parking in short stay car parks and three hours’ free in long stay car parks up to and including 24th December 2024 in both Grantham and Stamford.
A ticket from the machine or registration on the RingGo app will be required to qualify.
Cllr Richard Cleaver, Cabinet Member for Property and Public Engagement, said: “We are providing free parking in the lead up to Christmas to support both our residents and our town centre businesses at this special time of year.”
Christmas tariffs, in place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from December 2nd until December 24th are:
Grantham
- Guildhall Street (Greenwoods Row) (Short Stay)
- Wharf Road Multi Storey (Short Stay)
- Watergate (Short Stay)
- Conduit Lane (Long Stay)
- Welham Street Multi Storey (Long Stay)
Stamford
- Bath Row, Stamford (Short Stay)
- Scotgate, Stamford (Short Stay)
- St Leonard's Street, Stamford (Short Stay)
- North Street, Stamford (Short Stay)
- Cattlemarket, Stamford (Long Stay)
- Wharf Road, Stamford (Long Stay)
This arrangement starts on Monday 2nd December and finishes on Tuesday 24th December.
